RIVER WALK

Anyone who has experienced the walk through the Goulburn River Gorge or picnicked under soaring sandstone cliffs at ‘The Drip’ can vouch for the natural beauty and soul of this special place. Also known as the 'Great Dripping Wall' it features a delicate curtain of dripping water fed from nearby springs gently falling from the over- arching cliffs, weeping bottlebrush and ferns. This magnificent natural feature and others in the adjacent Goulburn River National Park, are threatened by the expansion of coal mining in this sensitive area!

Only 50 kms north of Mudgee and 35kms east from Gulgong (Central-west NSW see map), 'The Drip' and other stunning cliffs and caves along the Goulburn River are easily accessible from the Cassilis Ulan road - making it both a significant public recreational area and environmental landmark. It is essential this area remains as a source of inspiration, recreation, education and learning for all people !
